E-commerce order sorting
The Put solution optimizes batch picking and high-speed sortation operations with a process sometimes called reverse pick-to-light. With put-to-light, operators scan an item and locations that represent a store or customer in need of that item are illuminated. The Put solution offers options that maximize speed and accuracy.
OPERATING
Order picking is performed by a mobile cart that allows the integration of several components of the grouped order. The computer system via a mobile terminal informs the operator of the optimal picking route, saving operator travel time. Once the grouped order is completed, the operator moves to the sorting rack.
SCANNING AND SORTING BY LIGHT
The operator reads each item with scanning. This causes the displays to light up wherever the item is needed to complete the order. Operators distribute the items accordingly and press the validation key to confirm as a result the light turns off. After an order is completed, a display lights up on the back face of the rack and indicates that the order has been completed and is ready to be shipped. Once that location is released the operator can start a new order.
